Well R2 = Round 2 = Rerouch Ramperouge.
I don’t believe the theory. No. Oh fcuk yea. Lelouch is alive. He was the driver of the wagon.
Lelouch will never die.
Lelouch is immortal.
Lelouch has planned to fake his death long long way before.
Lelouch is still alive. Oh yea I repeat again.
He has Charles’ or ‘putnameofanimmortalhere’ or ‘Sunrise’ Code which he received , and when the Code activates first when you die, which happened (may or may not be applied) . And before you say can’t have Code and a Geass at the same time, the Code wasn’t the one C.C. had, meaning that Lelouch was the first one to achieve a Code and a Geass (Code Geass - meaning the title makes sense) He’s now traveling the country-side with C.C., living as immortals to give C.C an everlasting smile.
No one dies actually in Code Geass!

Nunnally got flashback when she touched Lelouch. Nunnaly was able to see Lelouch’s memory, which can only be seen by immortal with the code like CC on Season 1 where Lelouch touched CC and saw her past. That only means, Lelouch Code has activated.
C.C probably talk to Lelouch (the Cart Driver).

The tl;dr theory : the Resurrection of Lelouch by niisama
C.C. possesses the Code, which grants her immortality as well as other abilities, such as forming contracts to grant people the power known as Geass. Hers is not the only Code, as V.V. originally possessed one, later taken from him by Charles.
The Code Charles possessed until Episode 21 was taken by Lelouch either accidentally or on purpose, when Charles throttled him as he was about to vanish, devoured by the World of C.
However, Lelouch still possesses Geass, even after gaining the supposed Code. Why? Two possible reasons. Either the Geass remains until the Code is first activated, upon death, or Lelouch was the first one to achieve the “Code Geass,” having received his Geass power from C.C. whilst possessing a different Code from hers, V.V.’s.
What supports the idea that Lelouch has the Code and that it was no destroyed/devoured by the World of C is the fact that the geasses Charles had placed on Nunnally and Anya still held their effect. Geass draws its power from the Code, and had the Code been destroyed, the Geasses would have faded. That is why Charles’ Code still exists, now in Lelouch.
The Code is possibly located on his neck where Charles held him, or it appears on his palm when it activates upon his first death, obscured by blood from the wound in his chest.
When Nunnally touches him, she sees a glimpse of his memories, just as Lelouch did when he touched C.C. back in Narita. The reason for this is that the Code is activating for the first time, Lelouch possibly being unaware of this and unable to control what is shown unlike C.C. who forced shocking imagery into Suzaku’s mind.
As we see the memories flash by, we hear a sound effect, similar to the one whenever geass is used, though not the exact same, regardless confirming that a memory transfer is indeed what is happening. This is one of the main points that dictates why Lelouch is still alive.
Later on, in the ending, we see the cart driver, whose features are conveniently masked to cover any traces that might allow us to identify him as Lelouch, which makes perfect sense. Lelouch was the hated Demon King who seized control over the entire world, keeping everyone in check by threats of FLEIJA and so forth. It wouldn’t do well for someone to recognize him on the country-side.
The cameraplay in this scene is also an obvious indicator, they wouldn’t have gone to such extents to mask the features of a random peasant. Also, 2-3 frames of the animation show what appears to black hair under the hood and the hat, further supporting the idea that he is indeed Lelouch.
Finally, C.C. addressing Lelouch and tilting her head slightly upwards shows that she was indeed addressing the driver. This is pretty much self-explanatory. It’s also clear that C.C. would not have been as happy as she was had Lelouch truly died.
Therefore, with these solid facts, we deduce that Lelouch is alive, living out a secluded life, either traversing the countryside with C.C. or living with Jeremiah and Anya on their plantation.
Damn. Why only this animu has bad end than any other animu. fffffffff. FUC-K U TANIGUCHI. FUC-K U SUNRISE.
Anyway, I don’t know if /a/ just mindfucked me but I heard that there will be DVD plus edition (Director’s cut + Epilogue). It makes sense if they keep C.C’s real name and the identity of that Cart-Driver for the DVD version. Sunrise can do shi-tsux like that.
Talking about profit..
Another my rant again about Lelouch isn’t fukken dead.
So everyone happy because he has died for our sins. Took all the blame on him. Well he has planned to die since long long way before. Making himself as World’s Enemy then assassining himself in the public. Nice holy plan Lelouch. You’re the man.
But. Something unexpected happened. Lelouch thought that he will die after Zerozaku pierced him. But HAHA NO-. They (Lelouch and Suzaku) even C.C didn’t expect that Lelouch has gained the Code (Immortality) before from ‘Charles’ or ‘putanynamehere’. His code became activated when Nunnally touched him. (Code will activate once you died)
Lelouch who realized that he has became immortal, decided to leave Britannia without informing Zerozaku (So Zerozaku will continue using that Zero mask lol enjoy it until the end of your life and won’t be hesitated to rule the world) and planning to countryside-travelling with C.C. Since he has promised that he’ll be the one who will always make C.C smile.
There.. the Immortal Journey of Immortal Couple begins.. :3
Few points :
- There is no scene for Lelouch’s Grave. Even that Knight of Zero’s grave has 3 sec screentime with lol only cat Arthur on the grave. (No Arthur you suppose to know that it was a fake graveyard)
- C.C’s outfit on the ending credits with castle background is the same with her outfit on the ending (wagon scene)
Well that’s all mai rants in randum forums. I still believe that Lelouch is the wagon driver. No matter how hard you deny it but IT’S HIM!!!

Is Lelouch alive? I hope so. I can’t prove that he is or isn’t but as an art major I can tell you from an artistic stand point that the animators defiantly wanted you to take notice of the cart driver in the last scene.
First of all if they didn’t want to emphasize his presents they wouldn’t have panned in on C.C. by going over the drivers shoulder like that. If you weren’t meant to take any notice of him they would have just shown the cart coming up the road and then just cut to C.C. lying on top of it. Also if he was just some random farmer they would have just had a hat on him not something covering his whole head.
Second, from episode one the animators made a clear connection between Nunally and paper cranes. They wouldn’t have placed the Paper crane so far way from C.C. If it really belonged to her they would have put it closer to her things or next to her where she could see it. Instead they put it way up near the Driver implying that it belonged to him.
^ Nice reply you got there. Yeah. I believe he still alive. It made sense if Lelouch will be the one who gained both CODE and GEASS.
Too many coincidences, the origami also gave clue. Take a look on the OP scene, there’s a castle on Nunnally’s Background when she flew the origami. And same castle appears on ED credits with C.C.

Also at the very end they have a close up of the crane and the music for the credits starts playing. That kinda seems like a GOTTCHA JK! after watching his “death” scene to me. That last tidbit would be completely superfluous if it wasn’t.
Well successful troll is successful. Sunrise did make CG fans twisted with the ending. But just like I said above, I believe Lelouch is the Cart-Driver. Won’t it be strange for C.C to go with unknown-stranger. And her tone of calling “Lelouch” name at the end is kinda suspicious. Haha.
I hate the Nunally has ESP theory the Pro-Lulu is dead people have to explain the memory transfer at the end. If that was true she would have know he as Zero from square freaking one. She recognized Suzaku when he first came to the school because she remembered his hand when he touched her, and she was able to tell that lady was lying because she could feel her hand tense slightly. SHES FREAKING BLIND PEOPLE! HER OTHER SENSES ARE MUCH STRONGER BECAUSE OF IT! HER SENSE OF TOUCH IS MUCH MORE SENSITIVE THEN IT IS FOR THE REST OF US!
there are also clues throughout the whole first and second season. If you remember at the end of the very first episode he narrates. “Ever since that day I’ve been lying, lying that I’m alive. My name is a lie. My background is a lie…so many lies.” now he was already hiding from the royal family and playing dead with Nunally BEFORE that day so I find it rather odd he would say something like that plus, if he’s dead then how is he even narrating? He’s saying it in hindsight isn’t he? (I bet you’re getting pretty sick of me aren’t you?)

Besides even if he is dead and if C.C. is just talking to him in the world of C he can come back. Remember what Marianne said to him in the thought elevator before he made her and Charles disappear? “I can come back Lelouch, I can go back into my body” (well thats jist of what the subtitles said anyway)

It’s a hidden cut scene. Some said Sunrise cut it (or didn’t show it on purpose) but some said it was shooped.

Oh yeah there’s real English dubs for the show they air them on cartoon network at like 2:00am on Saturdays in the U.S. you can find them on You tube as well but we’re only about half way through R2 they haven’t aired the rest of them yet. It’s still pretty new over here ;D
I’ve even got the season one DVDs and they all have English dubs on them. same with the mangas they translated them too, though they haven’t come out with all of them yet the third manga in English comes out in like February I think
I would like to have CG DVDs but not dubbed. Japanese version. I do hope they release the DVD with subtitles. Haha. Anyway, I also read the Mango, which one are you reading nao? The original rebellion or Nightmare of Nunnally? There’s mango about Suzafag too. ;_;
I’m reading the original rebellion. I know about the other two but I read the descriptions online not quite cannon enough for my taste. any way the DVDs have the Japanese version and English/Japanese subtitles on them too in the set up.

(Charles’s power) The cab driver IS lelouch, and lelouch take back over as Zero, Also… from touching lelouch nunnaly got a geass power to… But that wont be leaked until after we decide what to do ext, if anything…”
that’s it, never heard from the dude again.. the website he hosted it on (IN A VIDEO) removed it a few hours later but one copy got out and translated on youtube i was lucky enough to be one of the 12 viewers before the video got deleted for copy-write claim.
I searched but the video never re-surfaced…… But i can tell you this, the person who uploaded the video now has videos of every code geass episode of R2.
Also, in the video it showed the above image of lelouch as the driver.
It seems that no one really GOT the very trick of the of the show…Also, the creator…will never ever tell the truth! …I don’t believe those official stuff
It’s not about how good or evil he had done , it’s about GEASS and its tricks!

That is the reason why they made the concept of the story!
That is the reason why they pick “Eyes” and “To Command” as the concept ability of his GEASS
He made us believed that he truly died because of his GEASS!
I really believed that he got Charles code because it’s too obvious! and it was located right on his neck!
Also, I never saw any right answer of what is the real name of C.C., it’s practically common sense, her real name is “CODE GEASS”…Lelouch: Kodo gias on episode 11
And, people have no choice but to admit that he’s alive or else, they themselves proved that they want to be played by his Geass tricks…
